Jacob C. Campbell EOD CWO3 (ret)

Jacob started the Marine Corps in 2004.In 2004, attended School of Infantry Infantry Training Battalion, Camp Geiger, North Carolina. 2007, assigned to 2nd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment, Fox Company. February 2005 deployed with 24th MEU and on Task Force Fox assigned to reinforce prison and guard force aboard Camp Bucca, Iraq. From 2006 to 2007 deployed to Camp Viking in Al Anbar, Iraq as 4th Platoon/ 3rd Squad Leader. In 2007, he laterally Moved from Infantry to become a 6113 CH-53 Helicopter Mechanic. Assigned to HMT-302 training squadron aboard MCAS New River, North Carolina. While at HMT-302 completed flight crew training and syllabus to become an Ariel Observer and earn flight crew device. In June 2009 Lateral Moved again to Explosive Ordnance Disposal. October 2009 attended Explosive Ordnance Disposal School. 2010 he was assigned to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan Station EOD. While there, served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. 2013 he was assigned to EOD Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In September 2013, deployed for 13-2 rotation to Afghanistan with 3rd Platoon as an EOD Team Leader. Supported Route Clearance Patrols, direct support to 3/7 Weapons Company aboard Sabit Qadam (Jackson) in Sangin, and general support to Camp Leatherneck and various 1/9 companies forward. Upon return in April 2014, moved to 4th Platoon to fill as Platoon Sergeant. Led a Mobile Training Team in November to December 2015 in the Republic of Georgia, then later deployed as the Counter-IED Chief from February to October 2016 for the Georgian Deployment Program Resolute Support Mission Rotation 4. Upon return from deployment moved to the Company's REDCELL/Special Training Unit until October 2017. October 2017 assigned to MWSS-374 aboard MCAGCC 29 Palms, California. Accepted selection for Warrant Officer program and attended Warrant Officer Basic Course at The Basic School January 2019 to May 2019. After graduation follow on attendance to EOD Officers Course before executing orders to CLB 22 aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. July 2019 served as the CLB 22 EOD OIC and Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO). Deployed on Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-AFRICA 20.2 May 2020 to October 2020. Upon return, follow on assignment from February 2021 to April 2021 to COVID Vaccination Effort Philadelphia as the ATO and Force Protection Liaison with FEMA, State, and local authority agencies for detachment. July 2022 assigned as EOD OIC for MWSS 271. October 2023 assigned as EOD OIC for MCAS Cherry Point.

Bobby Garza, EOD CWO4 (ret)

United States Marine Corps, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician.

Chief Warrant Officer 4 (ret). 21yrs of active military service, 81 months of deployed time conducting combat, and non-combat related operations. Post retirement, continued with eight years of continuous military training, providing training to the US Marine Corps, US Army, US Airforce, US Navy and US Coast Guard. Served as EOD Team Lead, EOD Section Lead, EOD Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, EOD Section Officer in Charge, EOD Officer in Charge, EOD Senior advisor to the 1st Iraqi Army Division, EOD Company Executive Officer and EOD Company Commander. Personal awards include Bronze Star, Purple Heart (x2), Meritorious Service Award, Navy Accommodation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (x2), and Combat Action Ribbon (x2)

Hart Holmberg, EOD Master Sergeant (ret)

Marine Corps retiree with 24 years of service.  He joined the Marines in 1997 as a Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Crewman until 2008.  During this time, he deployed with the 15th and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), with 1st LAR BN, as well as 2 deployments to Iraq as part of OIF with 3rd LAR BN. In 2008 he attended Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) School in Florida, where he graduated in Sept. 2009.  While he was an EOD technician he served with Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF), 3rd EOD CO, CLB 24, and MWSS 272. His deployments as an EOD technician were OEF 13.2 to Afghanistan, and 24th MEU twice. He retired in 2021 as a Master Sergeant. Since 2022 he has been a contract instructor for 908 devices where he taught the MX908, to several customers to include Fire, Army EOD, and National Guard units. 

He has attended many schools throughout his Military career to include Watch Officer/Watch Chief Course, Advanced IED Disposal Course, Homemade Explosive Courses- Sandia Labs, Los Alamos Labs, ATF. Post Blast Courses, Sandia Laboratory Courses- Joint Nuclear EOD Principles and Weapons, Joint Nuclear EOD Course, WMD Command and Control. Exploitation Analysis Center Forensics Training, Marksman/Observer Course, CBRN Scene Training, Covert Tactical Entry Course, Urban Assault Leaders Course, MOUT Instructor, and Combat Marksmanship Trainer.

Notable awards are Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation with combat V, Combat Action Ribbon x2, Navy Achievement Medal x2.

Scott Weaver NAVY EODCS (ret)

Scott joined the Navy in 1994 straight out of high school and went to HT “A” School. From HT “A” School he received orders to Groton Sub Base Groton, CT. and worked in the Pipe-fitter shop until 1998 when he was honorably discharged and entered the Naval Reserves as a Seabee Builder until 2003 when he reentered active duty and became an MA stationed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, NH. In Dec 2006 he entered the EOD pipeline successfully graduating with his class he picked orders to the newly formed EODMU-12 at JEB Littlecreek, VA. There he was put on NSW PLT 12-4-1 and deployed to Iraq with SEAL Team 2. During a workup for another PLT he was called to replace a team member on his former NSW PLT who had got hurt and then redeployed with SEAL Team 2 on PLT 12-4-1, this time to Afghanistan in support of the VSO mission. There he would suffer a severe injury from an IED causing major injury to his left leg and multiple TBI’s from several IED blasts. After his recovery and 11 limb salvage surgeries to save his leg he re-qualed as an EOD TL. He then deployed to Bahrain with MCM PLT 12-3-1. Scott was sent to shore duty after that deployment at EODTEUTWO Fort Story, VA. where he was a Surface/IED instructor. After a brief time at EODTEUTWO He received orders back to EODMU-12 where he was put on his old NSW PLT 12-4-1 and deployed to SOUTHCOM. After his SOUTHCOM deployment he joined MOB PLT 12-2-1 as their LCPO and deployed to AFRICOM CLDJ. EODCS was the Readiness and Training LCPO at EODMU-12. For Scott’s final tour he screened positive for NSWDG and became the training LCPO for N37. While at NSWDG he was responsible for the National Asset response to CBRN events around the globe.
